What is “The Soft Life”? I’m probably telling my age writing this blog post …. but growing up I saw my grandmother‘s , mother, aunts, and a number of family and friends serve in church. Their faith in God brought out the best in them. They served every Sunday ( all day most times). Some led choir rehearsal, sang in the choir, or taught Sunday school; but most importantly they were always prepared to receive a word that would strengthen them for the days ahead.
Oh, and let’s not forget they always stood on their feet in the wee hours of the night cooking and baking to feed hungry mouths after service until we had “ITIS” LOL.
Now we are living in times this generation calls “The Soft Life” a life that represents Christ. The soft life sounds good and trendy but the Bible is clear. The foundation has and always will be to live HOLY. Holiness is and always will be Gods way of life for the believer. Our lives must be more than a representation. We are called to LIVE a lifestyle of holiness. Romans 12 1-2 is a great example of the true characteristics of the how every believer must live HOLY.
- PRESENT: daily surrender spiritually, mentally physically ,emotionally
- LIVING: a lifestyle that does not compromise with the world
- WORSHIP: a devoted heart posture, a position of trust
- CONFORM: living out life Gods way no compromise
- TRANSFORMATION: true change of habits, behaviors, and perspective
- RENEWAL OF MIND: think like heaven, set your mind and attention daily to the truth of Gods word
- DISCERN: reading His word about you, have the fear of God, have a clear understanding guided path to walk in
