Remember in school when roll call was being done. The teacher is expected to HEAR a response when you HEAR your name called! Communication is vital for interaction to take place. As a matter of fact, we cannot have connection or relationships without it. The human side of us requires dialogue for understanding and physical interaction for our observation.

But what about the spiritual part of us? We desire to hear an audible voice when we pray, ask questions, or are in distress and need answers. The Bible promises in Jeremiah 33:3 that He hears us. That is good news right! The rest of this promise is just as important “I will answer”!

His response comes in many different forms of communicating back to us:

  • Through his word Romans 10:17
  • Dreams and visions Job 33: 14- 5
  • In the time of trouble Psalms 46:1
  • Through people 2 Tim. 3:16
  • Praise and worship Psalms 89:15

However He answers be still in the silence moments long enough to hear your name when He calls!
