Your thoughts are powerful. They affect your mood, your reactions, your perspective, and how you see yourself! Sometimes when situations are out of our control or a relationship starts to turn sour our emotions react in response. We weaken our growth when WE choose to ignore the root of the problem.
I experience this often when I’m working with others, driving down a busy highway, or one of my biggest pet peeves shopping in Walmart (lol). I become impatient, anxious, frustrated. Immediately emotional imbalance begins to take over!
I am learning to process moments like these by:
- First person thought: how can I ensure that I am not the problem?
- Slow down thought: reflect on the issue not the person.
- Show Mercy thought: you never know what someone else is going through.
This blog post is a small reminder that you are what you think!
